Marine Hub Cornwall offers access to world class assets and infrastructure, as well as a pathway to technology development and commercialisation.

Wave Hub – the world’s most capable and flexible offshore energy site for wave energy arrays – is at the heart of our offer.  It’s a purpose-built, pre-installed 48MW grid-connected facility off the North Coast of Cornwall, enabling installation of a range of devices within an 8 sq km area of sea in the eastern extremes of the Atlantic Ocean. Operating at both 11kV and 33kV, it also provides a fibre optic data connection that lets you monitor and control devices remotely.

Close to the port of Falmouth, FaB Test provides wave energy device developers with a near shore, low cost nursery facility to test components, concepts and full scale devices in a moderate wave climate.

The best wave resources in England can be accessed from port infrastructure on both north and south coasts, with Falmouth Docks providing deep water berths, engineering infrastructure and a highly skilled work force, and Hayle Harbour providing an operational base for developers deploying at Wave Hub.

The Marine Hub Cornwall Enterprise Zone offers purpose-built office and industrial business space available for immediate occupation at the Hayle Marine Renewables Business Park, as well as water side and land-based sites available for development.
